Breakthrough for Swedish organic cotton manufacturer

Coop first in the Nordic consumer marketplace for organic cotton bed and bath product sales

DIBB AB in Sweden has entered into a deal with Swedish chain store Company Coop to sell its Krav and SWAN (SVAN in Sweden) certified organic cotton towels and sheets in 32 of their stores in Sweden under the name Anglamark (Angel Land).

According to Coop, the organic cotton products, made from cotton grown by the Texas Organic Cotton Marketing Cooperative, have higher quality and last longer than similar products made from conventionally grown cotton.

The sales will represent the first time that such products have been made available to consumers at such a great scale in the Nordic countries. Dibb already sells its organic towels and sheets to many resorts around the Mediterranean Sea and in the Canary Islands.

Dibb AB brokers raw organic cotton and produces organic cotton yarn, fabrics and finished products, including bed and bath products, throughout Europe. In 1995, Dibb became the first textile company in the Nordic countries to become certified to use the SWAN license (License Number 339 001). Dibb is the general agent for the Texas Organic Cotton Marketing Cooperative.

"Best in test" ICA Kuriren no: 42 - 2004
Dibb AB organic cotton sheets won the "best in test" award from the Scandinavian consumer magazine ICA Kuriren, in mid October.
The magazine focused on napping, shrinking, wear & tear, ecological- and over all quality. Dibb's sheets sold at Coop beat out those from 10 other major retailers.
